Anze Kopitar is the only NHLer of note to hail from the tiny European country of Slovenia. Drafted in the first round of the 2005 NHLEntryDraft by the LosAngelesKings, Kopitar made his NHL debut at the start of the 2006-2007 season. He is a talented forward, and he is sure to be featured on some of the most coveted rookie cards of the 06/07 season.

Kopitar was drafted by the ReginaPats in the CanadianHockeyLeague Import draft, but he did not spend any time playing in the WesternHockeyLeague.
