History
| Constantine Falkland Kerry Smythe, better known as Conn Smythe was a builder in the NationalHockeyLeague. He played a large role in the history of the TorontoMapleLeafs and was instrumental in building their home arena - MapleLeafGardens. After being dismissed from his role with the NewYorkRangers, Smythe bought the TorontoStPats, and renamed them the TorontoMapleLeafs - a reflection of his strong feelings of patriotism towards Canada. Smythe was fiercely patriotic, and served in the Canadian Army in both World Wars. The ConnSmytheTrophy, given to the playoff MVP each season, is named after him. Conn Smythe CardsVintage Issues
