Eric Lindros was one of the most highly anticipated players to hit the NHL, after a stellar junior career with the OshawaGenerals of the OntarioHockeyLeague and two gold medals for Canada at the WorldJuniorHockeyChampionships. He made a big splash in the hockey card market as well, by signing an exclusive contract with Score for his initial trading cards. UpperDeck still managed to sneak Lindros onto a card, by featuring him on a Canada's Captains insert in 1990-1991 UpperDeck.

His entry into the NHL had several bumps, as he refused to play for the QuebecNordiques, the team which drafted him 1st overall. Eventually, he was traded to the PhiladelphiaFlyers for a package of players and draft picks including PeterForsberg. Lindros has several productive years in Philadelphia, winning the HartMemorialTrophy during the lockout shortened season on 1994-1995. From the Flyers, Lindros moved on to suit up for the NewYorkRangers, where he continued to be productive but was hampered by injuries, most notably concussion troubles. During hs stint with the Rangers, Lindros was selected to be a part of Team Canada at the 2002 Olympics, where he won a gold medal. Prior to the 2005-2006 NHL season, Lindros signed with his hometown team, the TorontoMapleLeafs, and had another injury-shortened season, this time due to wrist surgery. Moving on to his 4th NHL franchise, Lindros signed with the DallasStars, for whom he will play in 2006-2007.
