She has been a member of Team Canada since 1995, making her debut at the World Championships. She has 4 World Championship gold medals, to go along with her Olympic medals (2 gold, 1 silver). Wickenheiser is one of the few athletes to have competed in both the Winter and Summer Olympics, having suited up for Canada's Women's softball team in 2000. After the 1998 Olympics, BobbyClarke was so impressed with her performance that he invited her to participate in the PhiladelphiaFlyers rookie camp.
