Career

College

Stuart played 3 seasons of hockey at Colorado College. Captained the team his junior year. Named to the WCHA’s All-Rookie Team in 2002-03 and was a Third Team All-WCHA selection in 2003-04. Named the WCHA’s Defensive Player of the Year as well as a First Team West All-American in 2004-05.

Professional

In 2005-06, his first pro season, Stuart played mostly for the ProvidenceBruins of the AHL. Played in 60 games for the P-Bruins. Was recalled to Boston March 10 - 11 and made his NHL debut on March 11 vs the NewYorkIslanders. Was recalled again March 13 for the rest of the season. Scored his first NHL goal April 10 vs the WashingtonCapitals. Played 17 total games for Boston last season. Was returned to Providence after the NHL season for their playoff run. Played in 6 playoff games for Providence.

In 2006-07, Stuart once again split time betweeen Providence and Boston. He appeared in 15 games for Boston. He also played 49 games for Providence, plus 3 games in the AHL playoffs.

The 2007-08 season was Stuart's first as a full-time NHLer. He played in all 82 games for the Bruins, one of only three Bruin players to do so. He also made his NHL playoff debut, playing in all 7 of Boston's games.

International

Captained Team USA to a Gold Medal at the 2002 World Under-18 Championships.

Played for Team USA at the 2003 WorldJuniorHockeyChampionships, playing 7 games.

Captained Team USA to a Gold Medal at the 2004 WorldJuniorHockeyChampionships, playing 6 games.

Stuart is currently playing at the 2008 WorldHockeyChampionships. He is an Alternate Captain for Team USA.
