O Pee Chee Hockey
.
SummaryInformation about OPeeChee and their Hockey products.

The very first OPeeChee hockey card set was from the 1933-34 season with the release of the V-304 “A” and “B” series. Subsequent O-Pee-Chee issues were released in 1935-36, 1936-37, and 1937-38. These sets include many of hockey’s all-time greats, such as Howie Morenz, Eddie Shore, King Clancy, Charlie Conacher and Toe Blake.

Many of the great RookieCards in the history of HockeyCards are OPeeChee cards, including WayneGretzky, BobbyOrr, KenDryden, EddieShore, AceBailey, SylApps and MarioLemieux.

After a two-year hiatus, O-Pee-Chee cards were produced in 1995-96 as well as from 1998-99 through 2003-04. The OPeeChee brand name in hockey has spanned 8 decades, and still has a strong following in the hobby today.

Although the OPeeChee Company itself no longer exists as a hockey card producing entity - the OPeeChee name was licensed to UpperDeck, which is putting out 2006 Upper Deck O Pee Chee Hockey late in the 06/07 season.
