Creating New Topics

To create a new topic, you can find a PascalCase term that hasn't yet had a page created and click on it. This will appear as characters with broken lines beneath it.

Basic Linking

Any "word" using PascalCase automatically becomes a link. For example, BeckettMedia, UpperDeck or SportsClix. PascalCase words without topics (like FrankThomas) become links that will create topics when you click on them.

Linking to URLs

Like PascalCase words, any URL becomes a link:

http://www.beckett.com.

Notice the formating change that takes place when you link to an external site!

Free Linking

Surrounding a word with square brackets is called a FreeLink and will give you a link whether you use PascalCase or not. Adding square brackets around Fleer, gives you [Fleer]. However, in the spirit of a true wiki you should generally use PascalCase words. download movies

Preventing Linking

To prevent PascalCase words from being linked, start and end the word with two double-quotes. To show PascalCase non-linked, you enter:

 ""PascalCase""

Images

To add an image, create a link to an external URL that ends in jpeg/gif/jpg:

 http://www.beckett.com/images/content/time_machine_bob.jpg

Italics

Underscores (_italics_) or two ticks (''italics'') for italics Andy.Tao

Bold

Asterisk (*bold*) or three ticks ('''bold''') for bold

Underline

Plus sign (+underline+) for underline

Strikethrough

Minus sign (-strikethrough-) for strikethrough

Lines

Four dashes (- - - -) at the begining of a line gives you an horizontal line (a.k.a. rule).

Lists

To make a bulleted list, start a line with a tab (or 8 spaces) followed by a star:

  • item 1
    • sub item 1
    • sub item 1
    1. sub item 1
    2. sub item 2 this is a test of the emergency broadcasting system. This is only a test. If this had been a real emergency you would have been instructed where to tune in your area
  • item 2

Ordered lists, a line with a tab (or 8 spaces) followed by a 1.:

  1. item 1
    1. sub item 1
    2. sub item 2 this is a test of the emergency broadcasting system. This is only a test. If this had been a real emergency you would have been instructed where to tune in your area
