Career

Juniors

Bergeron began his career with Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL in 2001-02. Played in 4 games that season.

In 2002-03, Bergeron played a full season with Acadie-Bathurst appearing in 70 games. He also played in 11 playoff games.

Professional

Made the BostonBruins out of training camp in 2003-04, and by doing so, became the NHL's youngest player at the time. Played in 71 games that season with 7 more in the playoffs. Ranked fifth among NHL rookies in both goals and points and ranked fourth among rookies in assists. Played in the 2003-04 NHL Young Stars Game.

During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Bergeron spent the season with the ProvidenceBruins of the AHL. Played in 68 games and 16 more in the playoofs. Was the youngest player in the AHL. Finished fourth on the team in points. Played for the Canadian Team in the AHL All-Star Game.

After the lockout, Bergeron returned to the big league club for the 2005-06 season. Played in 81 games. Led the team in goals and points and was second in assists. Had 22 multiple-point games. Set personal season-highs in games, goals, assists and points.

So far in the 2006-07 season, Bergeron has played in all of the Bruins games.

International

Played for Team Canada at the 2004 World Championships where he scored 1 goal in 9 games to help Canada win the Gold Medal.

Played for Team Canada at the 2005 World Junior Championships. Played in 6 games and notched 5 goals and 8 assists for 13 points to lead the tournament in scoring and to lead Canada to the Gold Medal. Was chosen the tournament MVP and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Played for Team Canada at the 2006 World Championships. Recorded 6 goals and 8 assists for 14 points in 9 games which was good for second in tournament scoring.
