Patrick Kane was the first overall selection in the 2007 NHLEntryDraft by the ChicagoBlackhawks. Kane spent the 2006-07 season with the LondonKnights of the OHL where he led the league in scoring as a rookie. Together with fellow 2007 first rounder SamGagner (EdmontonOilers), Kane was part of a very potent Knights offense.

Kane made a huge splash in his draft year with his performance for Team USA at the WJHC, where he was the tournament's leading scorer while helping the Americans to a bronze medal.
