SummaryRittenhouse Archives previously known for science-fiction and fantasy card sets entered the Womens National Basketball Association market in the Summer of 2005.

The first set of WNBA cards Rittenhouse Archives dropped on the market featured over 120 players from the WNBA including the Phoenix Mercury's 2004 Rookie of the Year Diana Taurisi and 2004 Most Valuable Player Lisa Leslie of the Los Angeles Sparks. The first product included two autographed cards per box. The premier set also featured game-worn cards featuring game used swatches of player's jerseys and warm-ups.
