A sketchcard is a card with original art by an artist. Many sketchcards have a blank front or an area of blank space. An artist then creates actual art in this space. Because of this, each sketchcard is a unique card. Some are done in pencil while others are done in ink and or markers. There are also sketch cards with full-color art.
Products that feature sketch cards include Topps Garbage Pail Kids, 2005 ToppsGallery baseball, Topps StarWars and Topps Lord of the Rings.
The 2006 Topps Allen & Ginter set features 1/1 sketchcards by the noted sports artist DickPerez.
Also, there are the ThreeStooges, John Wayne, and Wizard of Oz sets from Breygent.
