Soldier Field is located on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago,IL. It is the home of the Chicago Bears. It was renovated in 2003 and reopened in 2004. Most Army vs. Navy games were played at Soldier field. When it opened in October 9, 1924, it was called Municipal Grant Park Stadium. The name was changed in 1925 to remember fallen soldiers of wars. Before the stadium was built, the Bears played their home games at WrigleyField.

                                        Stuctural Information

When the stadium first opened, it held 90,000 people! When it was renovated in 2003 the capacity was cut back to 61,500. Seating was reduced so that fans could get a better "look" at the game. The influence for the design was Greco-Roman. The Doric columns outside of the staium were even with the stands before renovation, now they are dwarfed by the towering stadium seats. Jay Mariotti wrote that Soldier Field "Looks like a spaceship hit the Parthenon." Soldier Field was declared a Landmark in 1987, but was taken off the list in 2004 because of the amount of renovation that had been done to the staduim
