| If you don't know who Ted Williams is then you fail at being a baseball fan. Perhaps the greatest hitter to ever play the game, Ted Williams was the face of the Boston Red Sox team for two decades. He was selected for 17 All-Star games, won two MVP awards, won 6 AL batting titles, and led the league in on-base percentage 12 times. He was the last major league hitter to bat .400 in 1941.
