Team Awards

Bill Masterton Award

Presented to the Stars player voted by his teammates to be most valuable to the team during the season. It is awarded in memory of the Stars center who died Jan. 15, 1968, as a result of an injury suffered during an NHL game.

The Memorial Cup

The Memorial Cup is presented to the Stars defenseman voted most proficient by a panel selected from members of the media who cover the Stars regularly.

Rookie of the Year Trophy

The Rookie of the Year Trophy is awarded annually to the Stars player selected by his teammates as most proficient in his first Year.

Most Improved Player Trophy

The Most Improved Player Trophy is awarded annually to the Stars player who is deemed most improved over the previous season by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

Star of the Game Award

The Star of the Game Award is presented to the Stars player who is selected most often as the Star of the game in the season-long selection for each home game.
