MarianHossa started his North American hockey career playing for the PortlandWinterHawks (WHL), where he won a MemorialCup. He started his NHL career playing with the OttawaSenators. In one of the more noteworthy trades in recent NHL history, Hossa was traded to the AtlantaThrashers for forward DanyHeatley, a trade which has paid dividends for both teams. Hossa was traded to the PittsburghPenguins February 26th, 2008 for ColbyArmstrong, ErikChristensen, AngeloEsposito and a 2008 1st Round Draft Pick.
