Perhaps the greatest hitter to ever play the game, Ted Williams was the face of the Boston Red Sox team for two decades. He was selected for 17 All-Star games, won two MVP awards, won 6 AL batting titles, and led the league in on-base percentage 12 times. He was the last major league hitter to bat .400 in 1941.
