Trimming

Trimming is the act of cutting or shaving a card to improve the overall grade. Trimming can be as simple as cutting the edges with a razor to shaving the edges to remove chipping. Laser cutters are used by some to cut card edges. The practice of trimming is to defraud a card buyer and is considered to be a dishonest practice.

A card with evidence of trimming will be sent back ungraded when submitted to one of the major grading companies.
